A long history…..

The history of this property with its gorgeous views goes back almost 130 years. Originally it was built as a 3story building and was used for several purposes. It served as a home, a general store, a Hotel as well as the post office of Starkenburg. Visitors to the Starkenburg Shrine and Church could count on a place to stay and young men studying at the Church could find room and board here. There was even a hall attached to the building where dances and gatherings took place. Almost 130 years later, Les Lavandes B&B is bringing back most of its original functions, now also offering a place for GARDEN WEDDINGS.

POLICIES

Two night minimum stay required during holidays and special events.
Smoking allowed outside only
Check in time: 2:30PM – 6:00PM
Check out time: 11:00AM

High Tea 3:00PM (included in B&B stay)
Dinner: Between 6:00PM and 7:00PM on Saturdays or by special request

Deposit amount required: ½ fee for length of stay with personal check or credit card.
We prefer personal checks versus credit card.
Payment: Cash, VISA, MC , Discover and personal checks are accepted two weeks in advance

Refunds:
Cancellations within 14 or more days in advance will receive a full refund, less $25.00 handling fee. Fewer than 14 days will only receive a refund if we are able to rebook the room, less $25.00 handling fee.

Extra person: $40 per room, per night, plus tax
2 Night Minimum stay during festivals and all October week-ends

DINNERS

Upon request, we shall continue to serve on selected days, carefully prepared 4-course candle light dinners, highlighted by the European cuisine. We invite you to bring the wine of your choice.

All meals include appetizer, mixed salad with homemade dressing, main course with home grown vegetables and herbs (in season), homemade dessert, coffee/tea. These delicious dinners are served in the innkeeper's Historic home. Price per person: $49 Swiss Fondue Dinner $45 excluding taxes & gratuities.

Appetizer and dessert may be interchanged upon request.

Appetizer:	Curried pumpkin soup OR Chilled cucumber bisque with tomato
Second:	Mixed salad, harvested from the garden at Les Les Lavandes (in season), accompanied by Myrta’s Special dressing or standard dressings
Main course:	Coq-au-vin (French baked chicken in wine and lots of fresh herbs,Swiss potatoes (Roeschti), baby carrots in a ginger-orange-honey sauce
Dessert:	Lavender crème brule

Appetizer:	Fresh cantaloupe, wrapped in Prosciutto, accompanied by a variety of salamis and condiments
Second:	Mixed salad (see above)
Main course:	Traditional Swiss cheese Fondue
Dessert:	Individual warm chocolate cake, filled with a pure raspberry sauce

Main course:	Porc tenderloin a la Richard, Basmati rice, Fresh asparagus (in season)

KATY TRAIL

The Katy Trail is only 2 miles away from Les Lavandes. Pick up and drop off is available.
Early morning breakfast upon request.

SPECIAL EVENTS

HIGH TEA

Enjoy a heart warming tea celebration and stroll through the gardens. Savor luscious, handmade chocolate truffles as well as homemade French, Austrian and Swiss pastries, along with a variety of delicious teas. Reservations with a minimum of 4 people are required.
Served every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Time: 3 pm to 5 pm.
Reservations are required.
